History: Forming one half of a telepathic strike duo during his time at Manchester United. Andy Cole rocked up at Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2001, he brought instant success, scoring the winning goal to beat Spurs 2-1 in the final to bring the 2002 League Cup to Ewood Park. Cole was then joined by his United strike partner, Dwight Yorke as Rovers looked to copy the treble winning formula. Blackburn in the early to mid 2000s was fondly remembered for the squad that was assembled in the period. A mix of Rovers stalwarts like Brad Friedel, Matt Jensen, Tugay Kerimoglu & Garry Flitcroft and young superstar talents like Craig Bellamy & David Bentley, both who lost their way at their previous clubs and rebuilt their reputations in their spell with Blackburn. Not forgetting the NZ/Aussie contingent in Lucas Neill, Ryan Nelsen & Brett Emerton. And the man who is constantly mentioned in the "streets won't forget" category, the man with no weak foot, the Norwegian, Morten Gamst Pedersen.
