History: The aftermath of the 2005/06 season rocked Italian football that left the Serie A as a whole to struggle financially & commercially to compete with the Premier League & La Liga. As Juve retained the Scudetto, the Italian football league pyramid were embroiled in the Calciopoli scandal with months long wiretapping into club executives found sporting directors of notable clubs AC Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio, Reggiana & Juventus to have a selection of referees favourable to the clubs in order to influence the game results. With Juve receiving the harshest punishment due to the influence of Luciano Moggi's role and the success of Juventus in the previous two season saw the club stripped off of the last two Serie A wins and relegated to Serie B for the first time in their history with further points deduction in the following season. The away kit, a rare Juve kit in red with Italy's tricolor running down the left, was retained for a 2006/07 season as the third kit. Despite losing a host of key players to continental & domestic rivals, managed to retain Gianluigi Buffon, Pavel Nedved, Giorgio Chiellini, David Trezeguet, Mauro Camoranesi & club captain Alessandro Del Piero out of loyalty to the club stomped their way to the Serie B title.
