History: Having spent a year in the Old First Division, under the guidance of Micky Adams, the Foxes bounced back up the Premiership at their first attempt. The Leicester City of 2003/04 wasn't what it became since 2015/16 season. Filled with an English/UK core, Leicester City made ten signings, mostly on a free transfer, during the summer in hopes to bolster their chances to avoid a relegation dogfight. With signings from clubs in the top flight and down the divisions with only Lilian Nalis as the sole signing from a club outside of England. The season did not begin well for the Foxes as they only managed one win in ten games including a five straight loss after gameweek 5 thrashing of fellow strugglers, Leeds. A purple patch over the next five games saw the East Midlands side out of the relegation zone, a series of draws & losses with only two wins in the remainder of the season brought relegation for Leicester City.

The relegation also saw long serving stalwart midfielder and Walker Stadium favourite, Muzzy Izzet leaving the club for Birmingham City after nine seasons at the club. The England born midfielder represented Turkey through his Turkish father was instrumental in Leicester City's Division One playoffs win to earn promotion to the top flight and League Cup wins in 1996/97 & 1999/2000. Also making selection to the Turkish national team in that magnificent run to the semi finals of the 2002 FIFA World Cup finishing 3rd.
