Nike's first attempt at making Manchester United's kit turned out to be an iconic shirt in the period where David Beckham's & Cristiano Ronaldo's careers at United intertwined by the same shirt when football jerseys were used for two seasons instead of one. Beckham played his last game for United in the same shirt that CR7 made his debut for the club the following season. Together with the beginning of Nike's memorable Total 90 campaign, the kit follows the same template as the big clubs & international teams like Brazil. The 2002/03 season was also Laurent Blanc's final playing season as he helped the club clawed back an 8 point deficit at a late stage to win the Premier League from rivals Arsenal.
