History: The success period of Parma Football Club in the mid to late 90s was well documented and romanticised by the 90s football fans alike. Their fall was equally compelling in the history of Parma. In 2013/14, the club celebrated its centenary with a special badge adorning the kits. The club also achieved its highest finish in Serie A to date, finishing 6th place with top scorer, Antonio Cassano scoring 12 goals. The 6th placed finish under Roberto Donadoni only papered the cracks of the club as the financial crisis forced the club to sell the trophies won in the 90s to stay afloat. The following season saw the club relegated after sitting in bottom all season, and the subsequent bankruptcy doomed the club into liquidation and restart in the fourth tier of Italian football pyramid.
