History: Real Madrid endured a disappointing 2004/05 campaign under several managers, ultimately finishing second in La Liga behind Barcelona. Despite a star-studded squad featuring Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, Luís Figo, David Beckham and Raúl, Madrid struggled for consistency and silverware. They were eliminated from the Copa del Rey by Valladolid and suffered a humiliating Champions League defeat to Juventus in the Round of 16. The season ended without a major trophy, increasing pressure on the club's Galácticos project and management.

Zinedine Zidane played for Real Madrid from 2001 to 2006, making 227 appearances and scoring 49 goals. He won La Liga, the Champions League, European Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup, with his iconic 2002 Champions League final volley becoming a defining Madrid moment.
