History: Singapore’s national football team experienced a challenging but significant year in 2015 as the Lions pursued progress in international competition under coach Bernd Stange. Their main objective was qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and 2019 AFC Asian Cup, with matches in the second round of Asian qualifying providing stern tests against stronger opposition.
